As a result, the Anglo Sikh Wars project was featured on Wednesday 13th December in the popular TV series Antiques Road Trip programme, this is the celebrity version and saw Felicity Montague get an insight into the project. Felicity has appeared featured in films like Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001), Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa (2013) and Dad’s Army (2016) as well as appearing in the TV series Doc Martin (2014-2015). She is daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel John Drogo Montagu (1916-2013) who served in the Punjab as Lt-Col, 2nd Punjab Regiment, Indian Army.
They filmed the Anglo Sikh Wars pop up exhibition as well as getting an understanding of the different weapons (shastars) used by the Sikhs from historian and author Gurinder Singh Mann. Antiques expert-James Braxton and actress Felicity Montague undertook the questions with the SMI. The Battle of Ferozeshah was alluded to where the East India Company was nearly defeated as well how the Sikh Army was defeated at the battle of Gujarat in 1849.
